Outdoor Play
We have a wonderful learning space in our outdoor garden at Spa PS and we love being able to take our learning outside in P1. Whether it's topic work; such as role play- making a house/ kitchen, making meals in the mud kitchen, building using the waffle blocks and construction area or reading stories. Literacy; chalking our sounds and key words, re-telling a story on the stage. Numeracy; using the balancing scales, writing numbers or developing physical skills; on the climbing frame, agility ladders, stilts or bikes and trikes, it can all be done outside. With wellies and raincoats in school we like to be outside in all weather conditions.
